Ukrainian producers are preparing to obtain licenses for the supply of sunflowers to Bulgaria

The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi held an online meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Bulgaria Kyryl Vatev.

The parties discussed the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to Bulgaria. In particular, the beginning of the supply of sunflowers under licenses, writes the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

Mykola Solskyi reported that sunflower exporters are already preparing documents for applying for licenses. After the approval of the applications with the Bulgarian side, Ukrainian entrepreneurs will receive a corresponding license to export sunflowers.

The minister emphasized the importance of compliance with the licensing regime for the export of certain types of agricultural products to Bulgaria.

In addition, the issue of the export of rapeseed, wheat, corn, berries, honey and sugar to Bulgaria was discussed.

Mykola Solskyi and Kyrylo Vatev agreed on careful tracking and control of the movement of agricultural products to Bulgaria.

As a reminder, Bulgaria introduced a ban on the import of Ukrainian sunflower in October, which was in effect until the end of November. At the same time, Bulgarian processors were dissatisfied with such an initiative. They repeatedly demanded to return to full liberalization of sunflower imports from Ukraine.

Already at the beginning of December, the ministers of agriculture of the countries agreed on the introduction of a licensing regime for the export of seeds of four crops.
