Sowing of spring crops for the 2024 harvest at the finish line — Ministry of Agrarian Policy

On the territory controlled by Ukraine, more than 7 million hectares of oilseeds and more than 5.5 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops have been sown. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

 

Agricultural producers in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Kirovohrad, Odesa, Poltava, Ternopil, Bukovyna, and Transcarpathia have fully completed sowing of spring crops.

 

In particular, farmers have already sown more than 98% of spring cereals and legumes:

 

corn — 3.89 million hectares (100%);

barley — 782.6 thousand ha (96%);

wheat — 252.5 thousand ha (102%);

oats — 163.7 thousand hectares (100%);

peas — 162.5 thousand ha (101%);

buckwheat — 97.7 thousand hectares (78%);

millet — 63.6 thousand ha (75%).

Over the past week, the growth of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 104.8 thousand hectares.

 

Among the oil crops sown:

 

sunflower — 5.12 million hectares (97%);

soybeans — 1.93 million hectares (97%).
