The strike of Polish carriers at the border, which includes a grain blockade for motor vehicles, will affect the export and import of Ukrainian goods, and total losses will reach about $400 million, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the NBU.

Preliminary calculations carried out by the National Bank of Ukraine show that this year the share of motor vehicles in exports reached 35%, and in imports it was 70%. The NBU believes that the reduction in imports and exports for November may turn out to be smaller.

According to official information, in October of this year, Ukrainian imports rose to $5.64 billion. It should be noted that in the third quarter it stood at $5.36 billion, and in the first half of the year it amounted to $5.07 billion. Exports are not significant its indicator also changed - $2.68 billion.

We will remind that Polish carriers blocked three checkpoints located on the border of Poland and Ukraine on November 7. They rejected the proposals of Poland, Ukraine and the European Commission, refusing to end the strike.
