Grain exports from Ukraine almost reached 30 million tons

As of February 28, from the beginning of the 2023/24 FY, Ukrainian agricultural producers exported 29.13 million tons of grain and legumes to foreign markets. Kurkul.com writes about this with reference to data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

At the same time, grain exports are still inferior to last season's indicators - as of the end of February in the 2022/23 MR, 31.7 million tons of products were delivered to foreign markets.

As of the reporting date, grain exports amounted to:

wheat — 11.49 million tons (in particular, 2.2 million tons in February);

corn — 15.76 million tons (2.77 million tons);

barley — 1.59 million tons (182 thousand tons);

rye - 1 thousand tons

So, in February, the total export amounted to 5.2 million tons, while in February of the last marketing year, it was only 4.7 million tons.

By the way, last week China bought large volumes of Ukrainian corn.

As a reminder, in 2023, 44.8 million tons of Ukrainian grain was exported to foreign markets, which was 16% more than the figure for 2022. In particular, 26.4 million tons of corn were exported — almost 6% more than in 2022.
