Demand from exporters is supporting corn prices at the ports

Since the end of the previous week, trade on the Ukrainian market began to gradually recover, and the demand of exporters supports prices. Kurkul.com writes about this with reference to Barva Invest data.

"The situation on the wheat market remains unchanged. The demand of exporters is mainly focused on grain of fodder quality, and the supply of food wheat is quite restrained," the analysts noted.

The latest indications for wheat in the ports:

DAP-Port Danube (11.5%) — $180/t;

DAP-Deep-water ports (11.5%) — $178-185/t.

Activity in the Ukrainian market continues to recover, and demand from exporters is supporting corn prices in the direction of the ports. However, buyers are reluctant to increase prices.

As of January 8, Ukrainian corn is traded at the level of:

DAP-Rort Danube — $165-170/t;

DAP-Deepwater ports — $153-163/t.
