Changes were made to the phytosanitary control procedure in Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers made changes to the resolution of the CMU No. 398 "Some issues of the implementation of phytosanitary measures and procedures, measures of state control in the fields of veterinary medicine, safety and certain indicators of the quality of food products in the conditions of martial law."

The changes concern:

ensuring phytosanitary control by the state phytosanitary inspector in the territories of possible and active hostilities, in which state electronic information resources function or in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, included in the List of territories in which hostilities are (were) being conducted, provided there is a document confirming the absence in such areas of risks associated with explosive objects;

ensuring the possibility of cargo inspection and sample selection by representatives of the State Production and Consumer Service outside the customs territory of Ukraine for conducting the necessary laboratory tests for the purpose of issuing certificates provided for in the Law "On Plant Quarantine" and the Law "On State Control of Compliance with the Legislation on Food Products, Fodder, and Animal By-products" origin, health and welfare of animals";

establishing the features (simplified procedure) of importing (forwarding) samples of agricultural products of plant origin, selected outside the customs territory of Ukraine.
