Lviv Oblast increased the amount of agricultural production due to animal husbandry

"The increase in the volume of gross production occurred due to the increase in the volume of farming of agricultural animals by 4.3%, including pigs by 11.2%, poultry of all types by 1.2%. The volume of egg production increased by 2.1 million units, meat production in live weight by 2.5 thousand tons," said Tetyana Hetman, director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development. The pig population as of March 1, 2021 is 374.3 thousand heads, which is 40.1 thousand heads or 12% more than the corresponding date of the previous year. According to the rate of production of gross agricultural products, the Lviv region ranks 4th among the regions of Ukraine in terms of volume - 8th.
